The role

Kollabtek is looking for a systems engineer to support one of our clients in the space industry. In this role, you will work with the client’s system engineering team to lead or support mission analysis, requirements definition and system-level design. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development, and validation of cutting-edge space equipment within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. Profil A University degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Solid experience in the design and testing of LEO/MEO satellites. Strong command of orbital mechanics and the space environment. Demonstrated leadership in the full Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) lifecycle. Demonstrated ability to test complex RF systems, resolve technical anomalies. Ability to distill complex issues into fundamentals and lead projects with minimal supervision. Experience coaching technical teams and supporting operations during mission phases. Excellent written and verbal skills in English; proficiency in French is a strong asset. Additional

Your responsibilities

System Architecture & Design: Lead the flow-down of mission requirements to mechanical and electrical subsystems (Platform, Payload, Ground Segment).
Conduct trade studies, develop CONOPS, and manage critical performance budgets (Link, Power, Mass, Pointing).
Modeling & Interface Control: Maintain System-level ICDs and utilize MBSE methodologies for satellite modeling to ensure seamless integration between major mission segments.
Subcontractor & Program Management: Oversee supplier compliance, review technical documentation (SOCs), and lead major program milestones including SRR, PDR, and CDR.
AIT & Verification: Lead Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) activities.
Develop test procedures, oversee EGSE setup, and analyze data during environmental and performance testing.
Mission Operations: Manage the transition to flight through In-Orbit Testing (IOT), commissioning procedures, and the development of Satellite Operations Manuals.

Your background and qualifications

: Ability to obtain and maintain Reliability Status clearance; Eligibility for Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR compliance.
